Behind the doors of Owen’s of Arranmore is a family whose journey has carried them from Texas to Ireland in search of a life rooted in faith, community, and purpose. Thomas and Stacey, Texans with Celtic roots, first settled in County Wicklow, where they spent five years building strong ties within the local community, particularly in Bray, through service, faith, and genuine connection. A year ago, they felt called westward to Arranmore Island, embracing its slower pace, natural beauty, and close-knit community as their new home. While their eldest son has returned to Texas to begin his own journey, their younger sons are growing up immersed in island life. Owen’s of Arranmore reflects the family’s story and values, blending warm Texan hospitality with Ireland’s tradition of welcome, creating a guesthouse where visitors can experience not only the beauty of the island but also the spirit of connection, kindness, and shared stories.
