1. Agreement to Terms
By making a reservation at Owen’s Hotel (“the Hotel”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), you (“the Guest” or “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your booking.
2. Reservations and Bookings
2.1 Booking Confirmation
All reservations are subject to availability. A booking is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation email from Owen’s Hotel with your reservation details and booking reference number.
2.2 Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided during the booking process (including names, contact details, dates, and special requirements) is accurate and complete.
2.3 Age Requirements
The lead guest making the reservation must be at least 18 years of age at the time of check-in.
3. Pricing and Payment
3.1 Pricing
All rates are quoted in Euro (EUR) unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice, but any rate quoted at the time of confirmed booking will be honoured.
3.2 Payment Methods
We accept payment through our secure online payment system powered by WooCommerce, integrated with Bank of Ireland. Accepted payment methods include:
- Debit cards
- Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Other payment methods as displayed at checkout
3.3 Payment Security
All payment transactions are processed securely through Bank of Ireland’s payment gateway. Owen’s Hotel does not store complete credit card information on our servers. Your payment information is encrypted and handled in accordance with PCI DSS compliance standards.
3.4 Deposit and Payment Schedule
- A deposit or full payment (as specified at the time of booking) is required to secure your reservation
- Any outstanding balance must be settled upon check-in or as otherwise specified in your booking confirmation
- Failure to provide payment may result in cancellation of your reservation
3.5 Additional Charges
Any additional charges incurred during your stay (including but not limited to room service, meals, beverages, activities, or damages) will be charged to your account and must be settled before check-out.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
4.1 Standard Cancellation Terms
Guests may cancel their reservation up to 7 days (168 hours) prior to their scheduled check-in date to receive a full refund of their deposit or payment.
Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice will forfeit the full amount paid, and no refund will be issued.

Cancellations must be confirmed in writing via email. Please retain your cancellation confirmation for your records.
4.3 Refund Processing
For eligible cancellations made within the cancellation window:
- Refunds will be processed within 3-5 business days after your cancellation is confirmed
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of booking through our Bank of Ireland payment gateway
- Please allow additional time (typically 5-10 business days) for your financial institution to post the refund to your account
4.4 Non-Refundable Rates
Some promotional rates or special packages may be marked as non-refundable at the time of booking. These reservations cannot be cancelled or modified, and no refund will be provided under any circumstances.
4.5 No-Shows
Guests who do not arrive for their reservation without prior cancellation will be charged the full amount of their stay, and no refund will be issued.
4.6 Early Departure
If you check out earlier than your scheduled departure date, you will be charged for the full duration of your original reservation. No refunds will be provided for early departures.
5. Check-In and Check-Out
5.1 Check-In Time

6. Guest Conduct and Responsibilities
6.1 Conduct
Guests are expected to behave in a respectful manner and comply with all Hotel policies. We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate a guest’s stay without refund if their behavior is deemed disruptive, dangerous, or illegal.
6.2 Smoking Policy
Owen’s Hotel operates a [no-smoking/designated smoking areas] policy. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all guest rooms and indoor areas. Violations may result in cleaning fees of up to €[amount].
6.3 Noise and Disturbances

7. Damage and Liability
7.1 Guest Responsibility
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to Hotel property during their stay, whether caused by themselves, their guests, or visitors. The cost of repair or replacement will be charged to the payment method on file.
7.2 Lost or Stolen Property
Owen’s Hotel is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of guests’ personal belongings. We recommend that valuable items be stored in the in-room safe (where available) or at reception.
7.3 Hotel Liability
The Hotel’s liability for any loss, damage, or injury is limited to the maximum extent permitted by Irish law. We strongly recommend that guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance.
8. Force Majeure
Owen’s Hotel shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations where such failure is as a result of circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters (floods, storms, earthquakes)
- Extreme weather conditions
- Government restrictions or regulations
- Public health emergencies
- Acts of terrorism or civil unrest
- Utility or telecommunications failures
In such circumstances, we will work with guests on a case-by-case basis to reschedule or provide alternative arrangements where possible.
9. Modifications to Reservations
9.1 Guest-Initiated Changes
Requests to modify reservation dates are subject to availability and may result in rate adjustments. Modifications requested within 7 days of check-in may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking.
9.2 Hotel-Initiated Changes
Owen’s Hotel reserves the right to change room allocations due to operational requirements. In such cases, we will provide accommodation of equal or higher standard. If we must cancel your reservation, a full refund will be provided.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
10.1 Data Collection
We collect and process personal information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Irish data protection laws. Information collected includes name, contact details, payment information, and booking preferences.
10.2 Use of Information

- Process and manage your reservation
- Communicate with you about your booking
- Process payments through our Bank of Ireland payment integration
- Comply with legal obligations
- Improve our services
10.3 Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Payment information is processed securely through Bank of Ireland’s encrypted payment gateway and is not stored by Owen’s Hotel.
10.4 Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with trusted service providers (including Bank of Ireland for payment processing and WooCommerce for booking management) who are contractually obligated to keep your information secure.

11. Photography and Marketing
By staying at Owen’s Hotel, you acknowledge that photography or videography may occasionally take place on the premises for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to be included in such materials, please notify staff.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on the Owen’s Hotel website, including text, images, logos, and design elements, is the property of Owen’s Hotel and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
13. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

13.2 Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these terms or your stay shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with your booking confirmation and any additional policies communicated to you, constitute the entire agreement between you and Owen’s Hotel.
15. Amendments
Owen’s Hotel reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of your booking will apply to your reservation.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
